While I still recover from my awesome vacation (and go through the 700+ pictures) I need to say thanks to a few people before I forget.

Did you love the guest bloggers? I certainly did. I was so entertained it kind of makes me want to always have guest bloggers! I am always entertained by myself, but the element of surprise on my own website was awesome. Maybe I should just plan another vacation so I have an excuse to use guest bloggers.

A big thanks to LauReality and her insightful post. Now I know who to complain to when B is trying to convince me we need some hot new state-of-the-art technology. Lauryn feels my pain.

And of course thanks to B for his special, mostly honest post. One day I will share my side of the story. His version isn’t wrong, he just left out a few details;) By the way, Naturally Wrong is his new nickname.

Thanks to Sohobutterfly, our resident Canadian. I think you confused my American friends, but I found the tips very useful! I even tried poutine (and liked it) during my international stay. My mom was convinced that picture was real and was mad at me for not emailing her any of my vacation photos! Nice photoshopping.

I also found who to go to when Zoey destroys yet another monkey! Sara from McGinness Clan understands my troubles. Thanks Sara for the great post! And remind me not to let Zoey see the Maggie Method.

And finally, thank you to Steph from Those Corwins. I just now got my fondue pot cleaned and packed away and I now I am going to have to pull it out again. I love me some fondue. Maybe I will just try your method and forgo the pot. Melted cheese is melted cheese, right?

I do have one more thanks to give today. Some of you may have noticed the new look at Naturally Right. My amazingly talented friend, Traci, surprised me once again with a sweet new blog header! Thanks Traci, I didn’t even have to beg this time! Now I just have to adjust my colors and the look will be complete.

Thanks again to everyone for helping me keep this place up and running!

Why hello there. I’m Steph from Those Corwins and I’m hoping to entertain you today while Megan is out on vacation. You know, having fun. While I’m working. Not the slightest bit jealous.

Nope.

A few weeks ago, Megan hosted a fondue party at their house. I adore fondue. Okay, well I guess adore is a strong word for something I’ve only had three times. Twice was at the fancy-pants Melting Pot. The other time was at a slightly more ghetto fondue place in Berkeley (I believe it was called Fondue Fred, which, I mean, I just should have known better) where we attempted to meet other married couples. The food and the socializing was a big FAIL. But the Melting Pot is always delicious and fills you up since you cannot stop eating! The cheese fondue and then the main course and the dessert fondues! oh my!

Once I saw how Megan put together her own at-home fondue I immediately figured that even my kitchen-challenged self can melt some cheese for dinner. Maybe then I can restore my husband’s faith in me. Just maybe.

I dug back into some old saved blog entries and saw that Green Being (aka Leslie) posted this recipe for smokey cheddar and amber ale fondue. Cheese? Good! Beer? Good! Fondue? Gooooood!

Step One: Amber Ale

Step Two: Finish off the beer

Steps Three through whatever: Have your husband prep the veggies and bread while you pour in the delicious cheese

Second to Last Step: Set up the cheese on the table with a mountain of veggies. If you don’t have a fondue pot (like us), just use a bowl and make sure you eat that cheesy goodness fast.

Final Step: Eat! The final result? Yum!

See not so hard? And it was really fast! Obviously if you are omnivores you could be creative and dip some sausage in there, but we opt for the vegetables.

What are your favorite fondue experiences?

Hi, I’m Sara from McGinness Clan. When Megan asked me to write a guest post for her while she was on vacation in Canada, I was completely flattered and a tad bit nervous as this is my first guest post. So, hopefully I don’t screw it up royally and don’t worry Megan will be back in a couple of days and things will get back to normal and you guys can forget all about this post.

So, Megan and I very recently started following each others blogs and twitters because of a strange coincidence involving both of us travelling to Texas during Hurricane Ike. I still HAD to go for work but Megan wasn’t able to because of the location of the wedding, either way we bonded and I realized that Megan and I have a lot in common, we are both married to men whose first initial is B, we both have two dogs that rule our homes and we both have a love of Dr. Pepper. More importantly, in our marriages we are naturally (and always) right and our husbands are naturally wrong.

It turns out we might have something else common; I didn’t realize it until recently when we started getting deeper into our investigation of the Stuffed Animal Murders. After doing some digging, I realized that we got Maggie (our youngest pup) from Oklahoma, the same state that Zoey and Servo live in. Interestingly enough, stuffed animals were mysteriously be unstuffed at both of our houses.

Being Naturally Suspicious, I checked Zoey’s and Maggie’s back ground and there are some known associates. It does appear from the photographic evidence that Zoey is still a novice and we can tell from her unstuffing style that she was obviously taught the Maggie Method but still has much to learn. From the photos, it is also apparent that Zoey has a bigger heart and is more gentle than Maggie, who has been described as callous, crazy and vindictive.

So the whole time we thought that the mob ring controlling the stuffed animals was just taking place in our house in Nevada, when in reality it spread farther than we could have even imagined.

For starters Maggie would never be caught photographed near the scene of the crime, as seen in Exhibit A.

Maggie would also never be caught enjoying the company of future victims.

Even though there are some differences between Zoey and Maggie, one thing is for sure that they aren’t the ones in charge and they are just the enforcers. Although we haven’t been able to prove it yet, but I do think the brains behind both organizations are Don Servo and Don Sammy.

Hopefully you will see why I am naturally suspicious, I am also monitoring my phone bills to make sure that there hasn’t been any calls made to Oklahoma.

Hello faithful Naturally Right blog readers! This is Natasha from Sohobutterfly, blogging to you direct from where else but CANADA! Whooooo!

Now, you all know that Megan is currently visiting your Northern neighbors, in the gentle land of Canadia. Specifically, Vancouver. Many of you may not have been to Canada, and being that I am Canadian, I feel it my natural duty to ed-jum-a-cate you on the ways of the Canadian … and on the new and exciting things that Megan is currently learning/trying/seeing.

And so, I thought I would share a few choice (ahem, my favorites and perhaps slightly modified) “You know you’re Canadian when” snippets.

You know you’re Canadian when:

You’ve frozen your tongue to something metal and lived to tell about it.

You’re not offended by the term “Homo Milk”.

You drink pop, not soda.

You understand the sentence “Could you please pass me a serviette, I spilled my poutine.”

You know that a mickey and a 2-4 means “Bush party in snow pants, eh!”

You can talk about the weather with anyone. Even creepy homeless people.

You dismiss all beers under 6% as “for children or the elderly”.

You know that Casey and Finnegan aren’t a Celtic music group.

You participated in “Participaction”.

You are excited whenever an American TV show mentions Canada.

You wear socks with sandals.

You know all the words to “If I had a million dollars” by The Barenaked Ladies, including the inter-stanza banter between Steven and Ed.

You wonder why there isn’t a 5 dollar coin.

You can sing “Oh Canada” in French and actually know what the words mean!

Your backpack has more than one Canadian flag iron-on.

You know the French equivalents of “free”, “prize” and “no sugar added” thanks to your extensive education in bilingual cereal packaging.

You had a crush on Joey Jeremiah from Degrassi Junior High.

You think -10 C (14 F) is mild weather.

You’re proud that Captain Kirk came from Montreal.

You think it’s HILARIOUS when you hear of people believing Canadians live in igloos.

Now, be honest, did you know all of those things about Canadians?

And now, I will leave you with a photo that Megan emailed me earlier today. She’s having such a great time in Canada with her new camera, and she’s been taking lots of pics. This is her standing in front of her Vancouver hotel, fresh and exhilarated after a long day of sight-seeing and snow-shoeing:

See? Doesn’t that look like simply palatial lodgings? I bet you’re jealous now!

Safe travels, Megan! Can’t wait to see more pictures when you’re back home!

Hello all, its me B (aka Brad aka Naturally Wrong). When I was <del datetime="00">asked</del> informed that I was to be a guest blogger I thought that was silly. I don’t think the readers of Naturally Right want to hear about the newest car that I want or the newest piece of electronics that I need. No, I would have to find something that would appeal to the readers here. What I came up with was how Megan and I met… According to B.

It all started one summer when I was working for the J.D. McCarty Center for Children with Developmental Disabilities as their IT guy. I was friends with the guys in the Marketing Department and would spend time down in their office each day just saying hello and shooting the breeze. Well that summer they got a new Intern, an attractive intern, and one that couldn’t work a computer to save her life (or so I thought). I was called down there multiple times a day to fix different silly problems with her computer that could be fixed by simply turning off the Caps lock, locating the “Any” key, or plugging in the mouse. Nows a good time to say I didn’t mind one bit, this girl was hot! and she has the prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen, but I’m getting ahead of myself.

The company bowling tournament/fundraiser was coming up and somehow she magically got put on my team (I’m looking at you Dani). That year we came in dead last on the bowling and first place for the costumes (looking again at you Dani). As a reward we received a free gift card for Hideaway pizza and our team decided that Megan and I should use the card (still looking at you Dani). It was our first date, the first time we could talk about stuff and get to know each other outside of work and I was hooked. It was soon after this that Megan’s internship was done and we began to date.

Fast forward 4 years and we are celebrating our 2 year anniversary and loving every minute of it. Looking back it all seemed to happen so fast but that is how love is. Love happens when you don’t expect it and it knocks you out and puts you on cruise control. Which is a good thing cause if I was in control I would have messed something up by now. Fortunately, someone is watching out for me because I have found my best friend and soul mate. I love you baby and can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.

Megan and I have a special blogging relationship. We actually know each other! Like, for realsies. She is married to my boyfriend’s brother. Follow? So my main squeeze (Matt) is her brother-in-law.

Actually, Megan probably doesn’t even know this but she’s the reason I started blogging in the first place! Matt had shown me this site and I was very intrigued by the whole concept. I was also eager to learn more about the two family members I heard him talking about the most. Before long I jumped on the bandwagon and started LauReality!

We actually met in person for the first time in May when Matt and I went to Oklahoma for a visit. It was great to finally meet the woman behind the blog after I’d been checking out Naturally Right for so long. We stuffed our faces with good food, took lots of pictures, and enjoyed a little too much beer.

Matt: I don’t know, but B is at a LAN party.
