My danity little princess Zoey has really put on her big girl panties since the move. Zoey is a bit of a scaredy cat like her mother. She is scared of the dark, scared of piles of laundry in the hallway and scared of B when he is wearing unusual headgear, like a welding helmet.

Well since we moved, Zoey has had to overcome challenges that put her out of her comfort zone. Like using stairs to get into be and a doggie door! Both purchases B and I thought we were making in vain. Like Zoey is every going to use them. We thought we were just throwing money away. By the way, Servo is our smart cookie. He will do anything and figure anything out. We knew he was not a concern.

Lucky for us, Zoey proved us wrong! Both times! The stairs were easy, we knew she was struggling to jump up and down on our gigantic new bed. She almost had to use the stairs if she ever wanted to cuddle with us.

The real challenge was the doggy door. We thought for sure she would never use it. Big scary flaps and walking through walls, no thank you! Fortunately for us, the urge to pee outside was greater than Zoey’s fear. After a few days she quickly mastered the door! Sure, if you are watching she acts like any moment the door is going to eat her alive, but don’t worry, I have witnessed her running full tilt through the door. She can do it! And I have picture proof!

She is thinking about it...

I see a nose!

I think she is going to make it!

A paw! Folks, we have a paw!

She did it!

And just so you don’t think I am playing favorites…

Servo can do it too!

Servo would like me to add that he did it first. And without the fear of death in his eyes.

Also, for this week’s Exposaroonie challenge the subject was framing. Now I admit this is not the best example of framing, but I kind of forgot about the challenge (again)! Since I took these pictures last night I decided to go ahead and enter the challenge.

The Little Boston That Could

Don’t forget to head over to Exposaroonie and check out all the entries! (And much better examples!)

Time for another Exposaroonie challenge and it couldn’t have come at a better time. This week’s challenge is vibrant color. I was kind of down in the dumps this week so color was a perfect subject to get me out of my funk.

During the week I kept trying to think of colorful things I could snap a picture of. Flowers, nah, mine aren’t very vibrant. Something at work, nah, too boring. Something around the house, nah, I am pretty neutral. Wait a minute! In the nick of time I remembered the most vibrant thing in the house. My dishes!

I absolutely love my dishes. So bright, so colorful, just opening my kitchen cabinets makes me smile.

Aren’t they pretty? Something about primary colors just makes me happy. It takes me back to kindergarten.

Be sure to head over to Exposaroonie and check out this week’s submissions.

I couldn’t have done it without you.

A big thank you goes out to all my *fans* for voting for me in last week’s Exposaroonie challenge. I think this is the first time I have ever won something. I didn’t even win my elementary school art fair with only four entries into the photography category. I was beat by a picture of mold. Seriously, mold. At least I took my own picture! You know those other kids had their parents taking pictures for them. Like an eight year old knows how to work an SLR and understands composition. No, I am not bitter or anything.

But seriously, a big thank you to everyone who voted for me! Finally my elementary school wounds are healed, at least this chapter is closed.

Oklahoma! O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A!

And of course, I was lazy and didn’t participate in last week’s challenge, but there are still some fantastic shots very worthy of votes. I had a hard time picking (Go Mario!). Head on over to Exposaroonie to vote this week and find out the new challenge. Hopefully my lame self will participate. I can’t let down my fans! (See that, it only took one win for my head to blow up like a balloon. I bet you are glad you voted for me now!)

The camera is out again and I participated this week. Go me! I was actually really excited about this challenge: Your Location. I thought this would be a fun one to do. The blogosphere is so big it is interesting to see where people are located. In case you hadn’t figured it out yet with all the tornado talk, I am in Oklahoma. Since I work on a college campus that proudly displays its name everywhere, this challenge was pretty easy for me.

I submit to you, Oklahoma.

Have you exposed yourself yet?
