The time has come

Finally, it is vacation time!  Actually, technically the vacation doesn’t start until Sunday when the conference ends, but as far as I am concerned once I lock the front door I am on vacation.  Woohoo!

Timing worked out perfectly this year.  I don’t think B and I would have been able to squeeze in (or afford) an anniversary trip if work wasn’t paying for half of it.  Did I tell you that I love my job and the fact that they send me to conferences in Canada?  Love it!

I still have some packing to do because even though I am a planner, I check and recheck everything up until the last minute.  Also, I have to pack for B because otherwise he will end up with no underwear and one pair of socks.  Oh the burden of being a wife.  Just kidding honey!  Sort of.  Oh, don’t get mad, you know it is true.

So since I am blogging and surfing the internet when I should be finishing up my to do list, anyone have last minute suggestions about things to do in Vancouver?  I think this will be the first vacation that I haven’t planned out weeks in advance.  I figure since we will be in town a few days before the vacation really starts we will have some time to do our research.  I am really just excited about getting away, going to Canada and seeing the great fall colors!  Oh, and I have been promised there is great sushi.  I plan on finding my sushi limit on this trip.

(And don’t suggest the nude beach.  Hubs already has and it is not going to happen!  Crazy Canadians and their nudity!)

Don’t worry about being bored while I am gone, I have set up some great guest bloggers to keep you entertained.  Enjoy the mayhem while I relinquish control of my blog!  Just kidding guest bloggers, I don’t expect too much mayhem.  Everyone have a great rest of the week and I will be back next Wednesday!
