B and I have a little mini vacation coming up next weekend. Remember Jenna? Jenna is getting married next weekend. B and I are flying to Galveston, TX for her wedding. Due to the flight schedule, B and I are staying an extra day in Galveston after the wedding. Party on, right?
Here is where I need your help. Has anyone been to Galveston recently? I have been once, about 15 years ago. The only thing I remember was eating the world’s best hamburger at a seafood restaurant. Back then I decided I hated seafood. I was wrong, by the way. And I can’t remember the name of the restaurant anyway.
So what does one do in Galveston? Is the beach any fun? Is there a world famous restaurant/hotel/activity that we just have to check out? I have been trying to do some online research, but 1) I don’t have time and 2) I am lazy. These two problems are really getting in the way of my I HAVE to HAVE a plan slogan.
If you were going on vacation for one day to a beach town, what would you just have to do?
There are probably some knick-knack stores and stuff like on South Padre; those are usually fun for awhile. And who can’t use 3 different Galveston-themed shot glasses and maybe a keychain or two?
Are you going to Lauren’s wedding at the end of the month?
Have a great time in Galveston! I have not been there, I confess, but at my recent beach vacation I hot tubbed and ate copious amounts of cheese, which I definitely recommend. Eating taffy and fudge are, for some reason, also must-do beach activities. And kite-flying? Whatever you find to do, hope you guys have an enjoyable mini-vacation!
