Make a HUGE batch of salsa and can them (my friend did this and gave them away as Christmas presents–great gift)

Instead of a Lemonade stand, set up a tomato stand. People love those damn homegrown things. And why the hell didn’t I get any squash? I’m going to have to call and tell your mother that you aren’t sharing well.

Quarter a tomato and place on lettuce and stuff it with tuna or chicken salad…..I have some great salsa recipes…….Don’t can anything if you don’t know how….Salmonella is ugly!

There are recipes for tomato cups (like you make a simple filling and then bake that inside the tomatoes). That would use a lot of tomatoes and it would be healthy. I think Rachael Ray has a recipe. Check food network.

Since my wrestling idea was taken, you could always turn to the less exciting but much more practical canning. I’m not much help. Maybe I’m just jealous since I can’t keep anything except bamboo alive and growing in my house. Do your parents have any gardening secrets they want to share?
