Ha, that’s hilarious! Moms are always surprising us, aren’t they! I had to teach my mom to text but actually she got pretty good and even developed her own unintelligible abbreviations. She learned to instant message WITH video when we lived in China. And now she does own an iPhone. She even dropped it in the toilet once, and I suspect her of texting on the pot. So don’t drive off a cliff if that happens…just start a support group or something! ; )

Umm, you just totally described my mom. If she ever figures out how to check a text message I may have a minor heart attack.

Your mom is pretty awesome. Especially when you take into account that she is still sane after raising such a “difficult child.”

You are describing my mom too. She told me the other day that she didn’t know how to check voicemails (on the cell phone that she never leaves on) and that it beeped at her everytime she turned on her phone. So I had to show her the difficult process of holding down the “1″ key on her phone and voila! Voicemails! I don’t think she could never master the art of text messaging and she can barely handle adding attachments to her email. She DID used to use AIM while I was in college, but she would accidentally sign on and then be on for days without knowing it. It was rare that we were able to actually communicate on there.

Smarty pants! I have you know, I get text msg from Shaunna often. I just don’t use it because I’m frugal…..(your Dad would love that one!) Also, LH and I use IM often. I just decided to bring you into my circle……sorry, are your feelings hurt? Just keep thinking your mom is part of the Stone Age……..if that makes you happy! I’m still an AWESOME MOM………because I said so!
