Able to leap tall… bathtubs?

Posted by naturallyright on Jul 30 2008 | Uncategorized

My dog, correction, B’s dog has lost his ever loving mind. The dude has a new obsession with the bathtub. It is nothing new for Servo to jump in the bathtub, but now it happens All. The. Dang. Time.

I am guessing the combination of summer heat and the new discovery of shower/tub combinations has made Servo go loopy. As soon as I get out of the shower, there he is, jumping in behind me.

Dude, that’s weird.

I can’t even sit on the toilet anymore without Servo following me into the bathroom to jump in the tub. Closing the curtain on him does nothing. I think he enjoys the privacy.

Also, should I be concerned that I think my dog licked my razor?

Tonight Servo learned a new freaky trick. Sinking diving. After B took away my ice cube that I was planning on putting in his pillow (yes, we are mature adults, what of it?), he threw the discarded cube into the sink. Next thing I know, Servo is clinging desperately to the ceramic counter asI stare dumbfounded, not sure how to react. I didn’t want to panic, afraid Servo might get startled and hurt himself. Truthfully, I was kind of curious to see what the dumbass was going to do to get him self out of the predicament. Finally, I yelled for him to get down.  He gave up on his ice cube.

What in the world has gotten into my B’s dog? I swear we give him water and the house is a cool 72 degrees. (Totally abusing the new air conditioner. I deserve that after watching my savings account dissipate.)

Anyone want a dog? Only slightly crazy.

  1. haha! That is too amusing. What would our lives be like without our pups?? I’m sure all too boring.

  2. I like to put ice cubes in Ellie’s water bowl and watch her go bobbing for them like they’re apples. Her snout gets drenched and water gets flung everywhere, but it sure is amusing.

  4. What is it with pets and bathrooms? Spouses cat has always darted into the bathroom with me even if I was just going to get a tissue. Now my cat races her in there as if she is going to miss somthing.
However, if either one of them even jumped into the shower with me I think I would freak out!

Now, I have to say that that’s one dog oddity I would actually PAY to have! My dogs have this strange sense for when they are going to washed, which they hate with deadly passion, and we practically need a tractor to drag them into the bathroom. In fact Xiao won’t even step into the bathroom even when he knows he is not going to be washed. At least Servo’s neuroses are not in league with my sister’s dog Bowie–he’s been stealing full loaves of bread and sticks of butter off the counter. Can we say clogged arteries?
