I need more!

Remember when I confessed to my nasty addiction of buying too much shampoo?  Well old habits die hard and I have decided I need more shampoo.  No, not like I ran out of shampoo and I need to make a run to Target to restock, I need a whole new brand!

My good old standby has been Aussie’s 2 in 1 Volume Shampoo plus Conditioner for years.  I have baby fine hair, but a lot of it so a light conditioner was perfect for keeping the rat’s nest at bay without a heavy residue left behind.  Plus the oomph of volume was much needed.

Well it seems that the water pressure/quality at the new house has completely changed my hair.  The rat’s nest of tangles in nonexistent!  Sweet, right?  Not really.  Now using my favorite Aussie shampoo is making my hair so soft, I can hardly get it to hold any sort of style.  (That sounds pretty pathetic right… wah, my hair is so touchably soft I don’t know what to do.)  Seriously, I can’t even get a curling iron to stay wrapped around my hair!

Here is where you come in.  Instead of blindly going into Target and buying hundreds of shampoos (you know, feeding the addiction), I want to make an educated purchase.  So tell me, what is your favorite kind of shampoo?  While we are trading secrets, tell me your can’t live without hair product.

My wallet and too touchably soft hair is counting on you guys!

I have thick curly hair so I am not sure if I can help….but….at Target I get Infusium color safe (cause I am SO gray!)
Amazing how a little move throws our hair into a panic!

Unfortunately I can’t really help you here, because I get 40% off the expensive stuff at my aunt’s salon, so that would be a dangerous direction to send your addiction in! Plus I’m phasing out my half-empty bottle and then I too will be in search of a new shampoo.

One of my favorite hair products is Paul Mitchell sculpting foam. It controls frizz, doesn’t leave behind residue, and it smells uh-mazing. You can put it in and blow-dry straight, or leave it curly/wavy.

I use Bed Head Self Absorbed, but I don’t like the way it smells so then I use just plain Dove… I use Bed Head Dumb Blonde conditioner. All I really care about is that my hair smells good.

Garnier Fructise (the bright green bottles) Shampoo for Color-Treated Hair (and also the conditioner with the same specifications), and also the Garnier Fructise Volume Inject Mousse before blowdrying. That’s pretty much the extent of my hair-care.

So, I found you blog through a random series of blog clicks, but your post speaks deeply to my heart.

I, too, love shampoo. Actually, I must confess: I love all types of products: hair, body, nail, completely random.

So to have to pick one is pretty traumatizing, but I think I’m going to go with Matrix Amplifying Shampoo and Conditioner – but I’ve never had an AMAZING experience… I too am on the search for my perfect match!! (My hair is fine and thin)

Anyways, I’m so glad to have found your blog… and I’ll definitely be back if I ever find the perfect shampoo…
