Another Very EmilyPie Photo Challenge

It’s time for another EmilyPie Photo Challenge.  This week’s challenge is candid portraits.  I was really excited about this challenge until I realized I didn’t have a subject!  I am not as brave as some people who were confident enough to go photo stalking at the food court

Luckily, we had some friends over Saturday night.  I snapped this picture after the wine started flowing and the jokes got funnier.

I wanted to clean up the color some, but I don’t have Photoshop on my work computer.  Plus, I have decided the yellow hue gives the photo an intimate setting.

Feel free to leave me some tips in the comments!

I wish I had the guts to go photo stalking in food courts, too. I like the photo and the color cast. :) I wouldn’t take it out.

Oooh… I love that she is on the side and you get a glimpse of the guy in the background still… nice. You are right, the yellow does give it an intimate feeling!

Third leaving the color in. It’s warm and cozy :)

Good job! It is a little on the yellow side, but I agree with everyone else that it just works!! I like the composition too - very interesting!

Love it! Certainly has a joy feeling about it that I think you would loose if the color was ‘corrected’.
I am going to have to check out these photo contests!

Oh and I am a total mall stalker.

    Malls….Airports…The Supermarket.

Such a great pic. Your friend has a beautiful smile and you captured it perfectly!

I definitely like the color of this picture too.

It seems like the only way I can get that warm color is with my flash off, but it’s nearly impossible for the picture to not come out blurry…

Lauryn, I still have a problem getting pictures to come out crisp, but getting the nifty fifty lens has helped tremendously. The lens lets in a lot of light cutting down the blur without a flash.
