Was anybody else a huge geeky fan of the Babysitter’s Club books as I was? I loved these books! My childhood dream was to have my own babysitter’s club. Unfortunately, my parents wouldn’t get me my own phone line to open up shop. (Oh don’t worry, I finally got that phone line. For Christmas. Of my senior year. I used the heck out of that phone for seven glorious months!)
The other day I happened to stumble across this blog. Yes, a whole blog dedicated to Babysitter’s Club books. Reading through some of the posts stirred another memory.
Does anyone remember the Babysitter’s Club TV show? I don’t remember the show actually being on TV, but my way cooler best friend (whose parents got her her own phone line) had some of the shows on VHS. Remember the theme song?

Anyway, in the midst of all this reminiscing and nostalgia, I came across my best YouTube find to date. It is the most perfect combination of my childhood obsession and my present day crush. You have to see it to believe it!
Total and utter awesomeness. I am half tempted to search eBay to see if I can find the entire 13 episodes of the Babysitter’s Club TV show! Too bad I don’t own a VHS player anymore. I am fairly certain these puppies won’t be released on DVD any time soon.

Oh my goodness… I read all of those books and watched that show all the time! The entrepreneur inside my dorky tween self would have been right there with you. I want to know how many pubescent girls actually do have the resources do something like that.

AH!!! I totally forgot about The Babysitters Club!! I remember us watching all of my VHS tapes of the episodes and thinking that guy that Dawn had a crush on was so hot! That was my favorite episode! And remember my Babysitters Club birthday party?? Everyone had to dress up as their favorite character (I was Stacey). Oh memories. I should find those pictures…
