Our Awesomely Amazing Road Trip, Part II.

Let me tell you about the hotel.  The hotel was a huge part of why this road trip was so awesomely amazing.  We stayed at the NYLO in Plano.

First of all, it was a brand spanking new hotel so all the rooms were discounted.  It was pretty empty when we stayed there, but empty means quiet.

Second, the hotel was uber modern.  Since B and I don’t get out much, this was a really treat.  We felt like we were high-falutin’ in the big fancy New York City hotel.  I have never been to New York City, nor seen one of its fancy hotel, but I going to pretend this is what it would be like.

This was the outside.  I love red doors.  Already I was in love.

Next we move inside.  The rooms were small, but they used the space so well.  It was simple and clean with nice touches.  Like the flat screen tv that rotated to face different areas of the room, and the high speed internet (wireless and old school attached), and the Ipod deck on the alarm clock.  I don’t have an Ipod, but I was still stupid excited to see the alarm clock!

This was the bed, and it was uber comfy.  Either that or I went to bed too drunk to notice.  (The second sentence may or may not be the more accurate description.)

Then the bathroom.  It was really hard to get a good picture because it was long and skinny.  Just take my word it was awesome.

And the final part of the room was the sitting area.

From our window we could see the pool area.  They were still putting the furniture together, but it looked like a fun place to hang out in the summer.  The hanging egg chairs could be found throughout the hotel.

The hotel had a cool bar that we thoroughly investigated Saturday night.  The whole reason B and I went to Dallas to being with was to attend our friend’s, Mandi and Robby, engagement party.  Here is a picture of the happy couple.

Anyway, after the party, the after after party continued at the hotel bar.  I didn’t take any pictures then.  B and I were too busy drinking chatting with our friends to remember the camera.

If you are heading to the Plano/Frisco area (north of Dallas) any time soon, I would highly recommend this hotel.  Stay their now before the rates go through the roof!  Here is their website if you are interest, www.nylohotels.com/plano.  You can also check out the website to see more picture of the rooms, including the cool bar that I “forgot” to take pictures of!

Check back later for the food recap of our awesomely amazing road trip!
