B and I watched another great movie last night, Across the Universe. So good! It’s a musical, which makes me happy, that featured songs by the Beatles, which makes B happy. The movie was very well done. There was surprisingly very little dialog, but unlike the crappy Billy Joel musical with no dialog, the story was still told well and you don’t feel like you missed anything. This movie comes out on DVD Tuesday, I recommend it!
Also, rumors of an Arrested Development movie are flying around. Apparently Ron Howard asked Jeffery Tambor (George Bluth, Sr.) and Jason Bateman (Michael Bluth) if they wanted to reprise their roles and they both said yes. I think several rumors have flown around before, but let’s hope this one is a go. I think the entire cast would be on board. I miss the Bluth family and I hope to see them on the screen again soon!

Arrested Development is one of the best shows that has ever been written (and underappreciated, which sadly seems to happen a lot with smart, witty shows). I am definately hoping that we get to see those characters again, but I really hope the movie format won’t cheapen it.
TV series to Big screen has worked before. When Firefly was canceled and they came out with Serenity it was done well. Lets hope they can tell the story of the Bluth family without rehashing old TV series plots.
I’m going to do my Chicken impersonation and head on down to the Banana Stand.
A. Across the Universe is one of the best movies I saw in 2007… I can’t wait for Tuesday!
B. I miss Arrested Development
