Being someone in the marketing/PR field, I like to see what’s new and hip out there in the creative world. Today’s find is not new and hip, it’s disturbing.

The Family Violence Partnership in Milwaukee, working with the ad agency Serve, launched these print ads to raise awareness about statutory rape. They claim this idea was tested in focus groups and went over well with young men. Did they do background checks on these men supporting the ad?
I think they missed the mark, by miles. They are making a point, but playing to fetish freaks isn’t the way to go.
*As an after thought, I decided I would just provide a link for those to view the ad. I don’t want sickos stalking my blog.

YIKES! Those are just plain disturbing! …I don’t think they understand their own point seeing as they are putting out (in picture form, no less) the very thing they are rallying against.
Wrong way to get your point across to an audience who is doing what the ads say is wrong. Hell to the no.
