Holy exhausting weekend, Batman!

My last three day weekend from now until May has come and gone.  Someone really needs to work on spring’s holiday schedule.  The fall has a day or more off every month.  You get nothing in the spring.  How depressing.

Back to my exhausting weekend though.  B and I painted our bedroom.  I hate painting.  I thought this would be a one day job, two days max.  Boy was I wrong.  It took the entire three day weekend.  I was still painting at 9 p.m. last night.  The time I should have been sitting on my ass doing nothing.  Oh, and we still aren’t done!  We have a little trim work to do around the windows.  Then we have to put the room back together.

We did manage to squeeze in a little fun this weekend.  B and I went to a wine tasting.  Yum!  We had a great time.  I will go into more detail in another post.

B and I also went to the grand opening of Norman’s Freebirds yesterday.  Again, yum!  If you have never been to a Freebirds, I highly HIGHLY recommend it.  It’s like Subway, but with burritos.  The best burritos ever!  The first ten people in line got free burritos for a year!  People were camped out in the freezing cold, that’s how good the burritos are.  Well, that and poor college students would do a lot for free food.

So that was my busy and exhausting weekend.  Doesn’t sound too bad, but trust me it was.  Going to work this morning has been a challenge.  Who is coming over next weekend to paint the kitchen?

I don’t even know how many hundreds of Freebirds burritos I have consumed in my life, but College Station was where Freebirds originated so it was like an institution there. Now there is a Freebirds down the road from us here, so I’ve been able to become reaquainted.
