Zoey and Servo celebrate Christmas

In case you hadn’t figured it out yet, I am obsessed with my dogs. They are my babies. I talk to them and honestly think they can understand me. I share this obsession with a large community of other dog freaks on Woof! A Boston Terrier Board (an online message board).

Every Christmas, the board does a gift swap for the dogs. Zoey and Servo got their package yesterday. I had hours of entertainment just watching the dogs play with their new toys. It truly was like a little kid on Christmas.

Servo being the curious hound he is, gave the box a through inspection, including a taste test.

Box

After Zoey and Servo pushed the box around the living room a few times, I stepped in and opened the box for them.

Open Box

Servo was the first to pick his prize. He even got the package open all by himself.

Then Zoey found her favorite (the package of balls wasn’t open yet, she would have picked that one had she known all the glory inside).

Zoey Toy

Check out the loot! These are some spoiled puppies!

After it was all over, B and I enjoyed our quiet evening. Two tired, bone-chewing puppies and a living room litered with toys.

Aftermath

And a final thought. I recently realized that I get my crazy dog thing from my mother. Today she tried to tell me that my dogs can count, they know how many days it is until Christmas, and shame on me for not moving my snowflake countdown calendar for the dogs. Yep, it’s not just me. I come from a whole family of crazy.

LOL! And I totally thought we were bad. Was your mom like that about Bridget? That was one MEAN dog!! But I do think I remember that we terrorized her a bit…

    “Spoiled” is a flippin’ understatement.
